Resonance

These paintings are about playing the saxophone underwater.

They evolved from two of my passions in life - playing the saxophone and being in the water. 

To start with there were technical considerations and other challenges, such as finding a suitable underwater saxophone and someone to play it.

Later I was able to explore the harmonies in greater depth, the resounding of music through the water, the floating of melody, the flow of thought, the drift of feeling.
