IAPMA Ruby Jubilee Collection comes to Tasmania

The 'Ruby Jubilee Collection' postcard collection showcases contemporary papermaking and paper art. It marks the 40th anniversary of the International Association of Papermakers and Artists (IAPMA). The theme is ‘Smart Swarms’, a celebration of collective creativity, unity, and collaboration.

This is an International Touring Exhibition which opened in Denmark in February 2026, moved to Munich in Germany in June, and has now arrived in Tasmania! It opened on Friday 14 August at the RANT Gallery in Devonport as part of ‘Paper on Skin', a biennial wearable paper art competition and event.

My work 'Fever of Rays' is made from handmade seaweed paper.

Pictured here with the wonderful Lindal Thorne, organiser of ‘Paper on Skin’ - soon to be coming to Devonport.

I was proud to be the only Tasmanian represented in the collection, and I was the only one of the participating artists present at the opening! It was a very special evening, and wonderful to see the diversity of postcards from all around the world!
